Entrepreneurship Development: A subject on Entrepreneurship Development has been incorporated after IInd Semester.
General Proficiency : A provision of 6 periods per week has been made. It Included of various cocurricular activities like games, hobby clubs, seminars, declamation contests, extension lectures, NCC, NSS, cultural activities and discipline etc.

TEXTILE RAW MATERIAL
The students of textile design are supposed to have knowledge and skills regarding
various textile raw materials. Hence, in this subject, students will learn raw material
properties and importance for various fabric and quality particulars of different
textile.
1. Introduction to world's sources of textile fibres (natural and manmade) and their
utilization general classification of fibres, yarn, thread.
2. Physical and chemical identification of textile fibres and its structure.
3. Nature of cotton, wool, flex, fibres.
4. Introduction and end use of cotton, wool, silk, bast-jute, flex, fibres.
5. Structure, properties and use of lycra, vicsoce, rayon, nylon, polyester, acrylic,
glass fiber.
6. Introduction to grading of cotton
7. Introduction to wool-merino, mohair, cashmere, camel. Sorting and grading of
wool. introduction to wool fibre and elementary idea of different wool.
8. Introduction to natural silk, properties and use of various type of silk, silk reeling,
throwing and weighting.
1. Microscopic test, burning test, chemical test(Laboratory) for analyzing of
fibers.
2. Physical and chemical identification of natural fibers, cotton, wool, silk jute.
3. Physical and chemical identification of synthetic fibers nylon, acrylic,
polyester.
4. Study of fibers – cross section and longitudinal structure natural and synthetic
fibers
